It looks great. I like the rear quarter view that goes all the way back to the 60's. And it’s not at all a falsehood that they only way a muscle car is going to compete with a Tesla minivan is to ditch the ICE motor.  The noise maker seems like a silly gimmick to me, but I am sure you can turn it off. 

Hopefully they will keep the liftback though. Moar liftbacks!

As the buyer of a 2020 Chrysler 300 in October of 2020, it’s a pretty nice car overall.  And frankly if you want a full size sedan with a V8 and NOT spend $50k+ it’s about your only option.

What bums me out most about the Charger/Challenger coming to an end is that they debuted right around when I graduated High School. So them now being on their last legs makes me feel old af.

Not gonna lie, this *almost* makes me want one. Owning a new V8 in a big car like this is something you can only do for so much longer. Even if it is a Chrysler product.

Yeah, no. Wages have nothing to do with inflation and have not, for 50 years. Wages have NOT kept up with inflation for decades.

To me the reason we are dealing with sky high inflation is the fed rates have been way too low for too long and the scarcity of goods and messed up supply chain during covid started the whole debacle.

People being employed isn’t the main driver behind the current inflationary pressure. Yes, the government pumped too much money into the economy during COVID; but it wasn’t the individuals who were the major recipients and beneficiaries of that…

In order to curb inflation, we need to take money from those who can least afford to lose it.

Well, now we know what the next GOP talking point is going to be:

Ah yes, more folks are working and have a bit more money than they have in 30+ years so now inflation is our fault. Not the price gouging and stock buy backs, or the PPP loan forgiveness, it’s the regular folks who’ve been scraping by for decades.

It’s probably smart, especially considering the maverick fits that needs perfectly and will be hard to compete with on price, considering it’s unibody, small engine, etc.

Seems to be the way GM is going with it.  Chevy will get the base work truck version, while GMC stays higher trim.  I think it’s a good way to go.  There was too much overlap with the previous gen for the sake of a nameplate.   GMC has always targeted the more premium offerings anyways.

Every mile of range is about 25-50 pounds of battery, so you’ve probably got 15k pounds of battery alone, and that really eats into what you can actually transport with these things.

I had a great relationship with one dealer, I got 4 cars from them. They disbanded a couple years ago, but they were always great to me and gave me discounts on maintenances all the time. Sometimes it’s not what you know, but who you know.

Right now I hate car dealers about the same as cable companies. That’s about as low as you can go.
