I’m actually more excited for this than I have been for some of their stuff in a while. People having fun in cars, which are woefully inadequate for the situation, in great scenery.
Isn’t that what’s become of Jalopnik?
I don’t care if it’s the same old thing. It’s the same old thing that keeps bringing me back for the 10 years I’ve been watching their various shows, reading their books and following their antics. I even paid for motor trend TV to rewatch the old TG shows.
Eh. It will likely still make me chuckle. Seamen had some funny moments.
I remember when Jalopnik used to enjoy and encourage car culture
The R1T is the only thing seriously competing with the ID Buzz to be my next vehicle. Really great looking, cool bits like the tunnel, and the tech sounds legit. Glad to see it’s actually out in the wild doing cool, non-vapor stuff.

Because you’re not comfortable using both sides of your breaker box for something new instead of just one, that makes all these people liars?
240 is much more dangerous because the higher voltage will develop twice the current through the same resistance as 120v. Meaning you’ll get twice the current through you when you’re shocked by 240.
There are very few situations where 240v will kill you but you would have been fine if it was 120v. It’s the amperage that’s deadly and a 120v line has more than enough to put you in an early grave. If you have wired motors before then your skill level is WAY higher than needed to install an outlet, run a bit of…
The only difference between 120v and 240v is the amperage of the breaker, gauge of the wire, and size of the plug...
Remember reliability is a bell curve. Some fail prematurely; some go above and beyond the call of duty. Tom’s car had additional stresses from weight and conversion alterations.
Seen from Europe, the way Americans treat themselves in regard to the truths you spill here remain baffling. I just can't get my head around how people can repeatedly vote against their interests.
Cybertruck isn’t targeting the same market. This is a luxury offroad barge more comparable to Rivian’s offerings. Cybertruck is intended to be closer to an electric F150.
If the cybertruck is an angular silver turd, this is a round one. I love the interior, but the proportions are all strange, all of the body panels look bloated.
But Cybertruck dual motor supposedly will start at $49k and have Tesla’s charging network. Top of the range Cybertruck will be $69k. I sincerely doubt this will do anything to Cybertruck sales.
I used to have an 06 STi back when they were new. I remember some guy was like man, you must get alot of chicks with that car eh? My response,”The only thing this car attracts is teenage boys and cops.”
Literally zero people disagree with you.
The only reason dealers still exist is because they lobby to exist.
Top Fuel dragsters are 100 percent always towed back to the pits after a run. Then the entire motor is rebuilt.
