Except somehow more people forgot how to drive. I swear it’s actually worse now and traffic levels still haven’t gotten back to normal. Every time I drive there’s someone doing something very stupid. EVERY TIME....

I did not realize C6 ZO6s were so cheap now... off to autotrader I go...
If he really wanted a manual they can probably be found for another 5k, so it’s still pretty reasonable.
Every car suggested except maybe the Camaro is a money pit if something goes wrong. That’s how a lot of cars made for the track are.
Either way, $20k to put towards getting the car up to snuff is more than enough. The E92 doesn’t have horrid reliability.
That seems bizarre. The coupe is 200lbs less. I mean the coupe does have slightly worse weight distribution than the E90 (52/48 vs 50/50) but I feel a competent driver wouldn’t have a problem with that.
That’s fair, but I don’t think that fits the bill across the BMW board. Plus I haven’t heard anything bad about this generation except for rod bearings, which you will still have money leftover to replace them. These cars are pretty solid. Plus I’d feel less sad with some race damage on an older BMW than a newer one…
I was extremely surprised at first and then it came haha.
Ok, but what is the difference between this, the Traverse, and the Blazer? They all seem to be about the same size and look extremely similar...
I’d be very surprised if modern automatics got worse gas mileage than a manual. They’re literally programmed to get the best gas mileage possible. Especially with them having like 8 or more gears now.
Eh, just find an E92. Weighs less, has more power, and will be cheaper. (yes I was surprised to find out the E92 is 200lbs less)
Get an E92 for $20k. Add $20k of go faster bits to it (maybe some new bearings too). It’s already known for being a good track car that you can drive on the road and prices are very good right now.
The momentum transfer from an SUV onto your body vs a car onto your body is extremely minimal (3500 ish lbs vs 5000lbs on a 150-200lb human is really not a big difference. You’re getting fucked either way). Most of the injury stuff comes from the physical geometry from the vehicle. No surprise: SUVs and Trucks are…
But Ford has a major stake in Rivian and GM will be looking to sell in this method soon too I’m sure. They see it works for Tesla and costs less money...
Shoot, I would even say the regular 812 looks better than this. This looks... boring somehow.
Just wait until you hear about the benefits you get on your taxes for philanthropy...
You’re missing some things. Weight of all of the fluids in an ICE drivetrain (gas too). You’re also missing out on some of the sound deadening for the engine bay as that won’t be needed anymore. I’m willing to bet a large amount of sound deadening can be removed now that was formerly used to cover up the drivetrain.
It’s odd they say there’s no demand for it, when we all know they’d still sell every last one of them...
Dear BMW, the gooseneck wing attaches at the top to have better aero for the high-pressure zone under the wing. If you make it attach at the top and the bottom you’re just making everything worse.
Also is it me or are all of the carbon fiber pieces rather.... thick? That fake rear diffuser thing is also an…
The competitor from Infiniti for this is literally the only attractive Infiniti...
I mean... Tesla already sells the Tesla wall and the Tesla roof (solar panel roof shingles).
