I didn’t mean to imply that safety systems aren’t needed. But many other things have progressed too in terms of materials and crash structures. My 2014 Accord weighs the same as my 2000 Accord and that’s amazing. Overall weight from safety has kept up with materials getting lighter and stronger.

Electronic toys are not cheap. If they were then a wing mirror that tells you if someone is in your blindspot wouldn’t cost $1000.

Most truck owners don’t need to be truck owners in the first place.

Wow. Not sure there’s a worse remark than “worse than Sbarro”.

CEO and Chief Scientist:

What’s wrong with #1? Why not choose the easy option if it’s safely presented to you? It’s no different than parking normally, just with more driving forward...

I love it when it’s large trucks doing this maneuver near the front of the lot. And then they’re generally so big that they don’t really fit lengthwise or width wise. No one needs to take a giant truck to get groceries...

As long as your turning circle is tight enough for you to pull out into the correct direction of traffic I think its fine.  Granted soccer moms in their giant SUVs do not have a tight enough turning circle, so it’s bad to to a multi-point turn because you parked the wrong way...

This.  The fact that trucks are selling so well and plenty of those trucks are $50k is insane.  This plan is ridiculous and will only hurt people when gas prices jump again...

It probably would... basically a more powerful BRZ at this point and based on the tech in the Supra would probably be just as expensive too...

Fair, but that new turbo 4 is also likely close in power to that old-ass V8 these days. And $2k vs $500 in an engine is quickly made up in fuel savings.

And to think that people are upset that they’re choosing to spend $50k on a truck when it should be cheaper is ridiculous.

This is why the regulations required an average across the line of vehicles.

Don’t forget the toilets!

I still don’t understand how they think that EPA regulations are the things making cars more expensive. If anything safety has had a much larger impact.

The only reason it looks like a squareback is for the same reasons it looks like most wagons from that period.

Please don’t bring back harvest gold. That’s a color that needs to stay dead...

My point was that she wouldn’t have the record if it wasn’t for music getting really shitty on the radio in the 2000s.  The billboard top hits seems rpetty irrelevant for what constitutes as good music these days.

It certainly is an old wagon, yes.

I like the Amazon wagon design more.  Adds to the length of the interior space so things can hang outside the vehicle if you have something longer than 6 feet.  The license plate also flips down so you can see it (like the Subaru Baja copied!).  Spare is under the carpet there.  Much more useful use of space, and you
