The very first word in the post should be "If" not "It"... speakin' of typos.

Is this a viable/safe solution for a beta fish tank? Ours is always getting so murky!

This isn't still considered the number 1 launcher, is it? Last I used it, it had stopped being developed. I have long since switched to Apex launcher. It is everything that I loved about Launcher Pro and some. Hopefully some of you will read this before you make the mistake I did by buying the full version of LP.

Anybody else just suffer the pain of writing to a loved one as if you had died after reading this post? I just updated my inactive Google account thing to send a message to my wife in the even that my account ever went inactive... most morbid thing I've ever done. Talk about tear-jerking!

Melanie,

Not to sound like a mother watching out for her children's ears, but I would have appreciated a little "Explicit" or "Mature language" warning before watching your attached YouTube clip. I appreciate LifeHacker and the great things that you can learn from this site. This choice in a clip has soured that

But this method requires no clicking (a desirable thing to some people who like to control their PC with the keyboard alone - eg: programmers):

ctrl+t => "mailto:" => enter => type recipient email address => tab (x2) => <subject> => tab => <body> => ctrl+enter (sends message) => and you're done!

Unleash the computer

I had some trouble with this recently as well - I wanted all "mailto" links to open gmail to compose a message.

If you don't mind installing a small application, the quick and easy way to make this work for you is to download and install the desktop application "Gmail Notifier" and by default, it will make it so that

I didn't actually ever think that this was that much of a "problem" but now I see the light! Man, is it lightening responsive now! Google suggestions as I type are instantaneous! Thanks Alan!

I definitely second the ReStore for a good place to go. They don't always have what you want in the condition you want it, but when they do, you can save tons - namely on something like a stainless steel sink with faucet. You've got to jump on them fast though... We literally had a guy try to buy the faucet off

I typically stick to only doing voice searches while on wifi for this reason... =(

I use it ALL the time to find out what a song is. My wife will be watching something like "One Tree Hill" and moments after she says something like, "I like this song," I've got my phone out and listening.

And if you're wanting it on your Android device, you can either wait for Google to roll it out to you OR head on over to AndroidPolice and download the APK.

Ok, I was noticing that with the new categories, my gmail app on Android was not notifying me of anything outside of my "Primary" category. This wasn't cool, seeing as how important financial updates from my school were being categorized as "updates" (naturally) and I was not getting their notifications.

It didn't

It'd be cool to see someone build a Lego dock with an inductive charger built in for your Nexus 4...

I've been making Lego phone docks since my first flip phone back in the day... I even made it wall-mountable and it had a deep pocket so that it'd cradle the phone nicely and also drop into place so the power cord's head would always hit the mark.

I would, however, slightly disagree with the word "cheap" being used in

Multi-select? as in in the inbox? That is still doable; just tap on the profile picture or letter-on-a-colored-background image and it selects the email. You can continue tapping on each one that you want to select. Tap again in the same spot to deselect.

If, for whatever reason, you don't have (or don't want to

Yep! I keep a Faraday cage in my closet for just this reason! jk (does everyone know what that is, even?)

Seriously though, I think the average Joe who might be lookin' for a couple extra bucks and jacking people's phones probably won't be so bright. Besides, there are easier solutions to getting around security like

I miss the little 'trashcan' icon for directly deleting an email. Now I have to reach to the top of the screen and tap the menu drop-down and select 'delete.' They kept the 'archive' icon and the almost useless 'mark unread' one, why not the 'delete' one?

YES PLEASE! This is why I follow LifeHacker... for makin' my life easier! Thanks guys!

Just a word on that 'condensation' bit: you've got that backwards. Evaporation is an endothermic reaction and, thus, makes things cold. This is why you sweat when you're hot - your body's way of cooling itself through evaporative cooling. The condensation is forming because the warmer water vapor in the air is
