Lack of experience does not excuse lack of preparation.

Here’s my vr4, 367/1000. Amazing how well it still holds together, no interior creaks or rattles, just a really solid car.

When is the next event?

Very true on the dsm part!

It likely has a different aftertreatment system for the US with more backpressure, could easily result in lower SAE certified horespower.

I’d love to have an evo! Looking to swap out the Saabaru for one.

A diamante of this vintage? Does look pretty similar.

Very happy with the car so far, as I bought it only mods are a fp big t28 turbo, old school RRE intercooler pipes with 1g BOV and a centerforce clutch. So really just replacing the weak OEM components. Rest is bone stock down to the exhaust! Drove it all the from TX to MI without issue. Being in the DSM game for

Not the best tracktoy platform, this would be great fun on the street though

I bought that gsx on BAT, always been a huge fan of dsms and that particular car was exactly what I was looking for. Very difficult to find in that shape now. Should hold its value fairly well. Amazing how well they drive in good condition too!

A 2 door wrx? Hot looking wrx? Not likely

On a VW post we’ll listen to you because you have the R logo ;)

Wait until next model year when hype dies down and supply increases.

Thing is, for a daily driver, this is far more practical than a mustang or camaro. Extra space, actual usable back seat, and AWD. For a one-car owner who wants a fun and engaging car that is track capable off the floor, not sure this can be beat.

The hub center bore is also a different size, not sure how one would have even bolted up the ST wheels.

Same could be said about the GTR, look at all the issues those had during the first few models on stock hardware and tune!

The same thing could be said about the WRX STi, entirely not designed for rally from the factory; low profile tires, low ground clearance, suspension tuned for the tarmac. But enough Su-bro’s take them off road after they watch 5min of WRC footage. Heck, they even need different brakes to fit 15" rally wheels over

This is about as wrong as you could get. The RS AWD system does not “drag the brakes” to increase rear torque bias, it has an oversped PTU (the new transfer case if you want to call it that) to achieve the 70% split when it is possible. It then can send 100% of *that* torque to the right or left rear wheel.

Ford also built the RS500 on the Mk2 RS, and that was not for any homologation reasons.

Good point, I was going to counter the jalop article with this. The RS doesn’t really fit in any series well at the moment.
