I remember finishing “computer class” in middle school early meant that you can load up educational games to play for the rest of class. Well, in that 15 minutes, you had to load up several 5 1/4" floppies to get Oregon Trail or one of the Kings Quest games to load, leaving you with 10 minutes to learn/play anything.

I re-read the Noah McGee article. I did not see anything mentioned about the drug status of the friend. Only that it was not deemed to be hate based. Same with the ABC link.

The victim had taken drugs, but what about the friend? The friend who shot Spencer, was he also tested for drugs? It’s not hard to imagine two people going out and taking drugs together as a social activity. Maybe the shooter felt paranoia if he was also on drugs.

That was my first thought. Perhaps not the officers, but the department (or higher ups) may have some backroom deal with the shop owner.
