Good on you, man.
Good on you, man.
Yep... "Ooooh... SHINY new iPhone. $399 + 2-year contract? Sold!" Never mind that the raised monthly fee for 2 years vs. contract free (or no phone discount rate) is enough to pay for 2 phones.
Yeah, when you buy/lease a car watch out for those sales guys when they ask "How much can you pay a month?" and they'll "make it work" by turning a 24 month thing into a 72 month proposition.
One thing about credit cards is that it only works in that calculated way if you buy ONE thing and only that, paying the minimum until the item (well total bill) is paid in full.
I did something similar with the 360 Pro (20gb) a year after it came out during the 2006 holidays . Opened a credit card through the store, no interest for 12 months, $100 rebate. $399 - $100 rebate = $299 and I paid it off before any interest occurred. 25% off was a really great deal at the time.
That's the only reason why I never got the DVD. Holding out on a BluRay version, I don't even care if it's in 4:3 ratio.
Thanks for the heads up! I'm buying a PSN card just for Tales of Monkey Island.
I got it when it was $15 too. I haven't played it but I always have to open it just to make sure there's no defects. Cuz you know the one time I don't, it'll be some other game inside or it'll be broke or something and I wouldn't be able to exchange it.
I just sent him a note on those too. Thanks again.
Very interesting... I never paid much attention to the ohms since my receivers were always between 85-100W per channel.
Ha, I wish I only paid $100. Sounds like your find was awesome. I have reoccurring dreams about yard sale or discount bin finds on video games. Then I'm slightly disappointed when I wake up. Apparently, I love me a good deal. So much so, it invades my dreams.
Bonus recommendation for Paradigm!
I had the Z-2200's. Unfortunately there was a design flaw that caused popping to come out of the left speaker. It was still under warranty and Logitech sent me a set of the Z-2300's free.
Thanks. I was looking into something compact & inexpensive, but would be willing to pay a tad more if it had optical/digital inputs. I can see why the licensing would make it costly... too costly to justify having it. I really don't have the room for another receiver especially if, as I mentioned to Dankwijoti, I'm…
Thanks again for the info. I just wanted to re-use speakers and wire I already own and not have to buy anything extra if I didn't have to.
While I wasn't behind the scenes at Gearbox, it seems plausible that they did just that by focusing resources on BL1, BL2, & others. Then it seems they outsourced Aliens CM. (Staffers on Aliens: CM) <- originally from Kotaku...
Thanks for the info. I inquired about the digital optical in due to not wanting signal loss or interference between my pc and amp due to the 3.5mm headphone jack. Guess I'd go with a higher gauge wire? Or better insulated ones?
Which Sega game did Borderlands rip off?
Awesome! Thanks for the heads up. At those prices, looks like I won't have to wait to see if there's a Season Pass 2.
That's pretty cool. The output (20 watts/channel) seems low.. is it?
