I have similar grandfather issues and have two male cousins named after him. Full first, middle, and last names for the man that abandoned our family before he ever had grandkids and moved on to another family. Seriously, WTF?

My brother was angling for Geraldine, after his favorite dog (he was three). My grandmother was Lucille and we already share a first name so my middle name - the name I actually go by - was almost Lucille. There was no boy's name on deck. Despite not finding out my sex during the sonograms, my mom was just convinced I

They have the best underwear and bras. I haven't been in a store in years though, so I'm not even sure if they are still around me. Internet shopping works just fine.

My best friend's engagement story involves surprise sea turtle hatching. Which worked out well since her now husband turned his iPod to Hakuna Matata instead of Can You Feel the Love Tonight? right before getting on one knee.

The last wedding I was in was a fast tracked Catholic wedding. 45 minutes. But I was kneeling on...stage?...by the bride the whole time, back to the crowd, just knowing everyone was staring at my back fat.

Oh no no, I didn't think you were guilting at all. I just had similar, much less drastic, food issues. I'm lucky it was just a skin allergy, though he was pulling his hair out, scratching until he bled, and I was a very worried dog-mom. I know a healthier (more expensive) diet would be better for him. I make myself

My dog has some sort of allergic reaction on his skin to most dry foods. We've found one type of one brand that doesn't cause the skin irritation and is within our price range. I considered switching him to a more meat hardy diet with the refrigerated food, but looking into it, the cost was three to four times higher

Oh my gosh, what state do you work in? I just started working for a new university and every building has signs out front banning guns from campus. It's amazing to me that asking people not to carry guns on a college campus is a thing now.

I lived in Tennessee for a few years. The state passed a law allowing open carry in all bars, restaurants, and churches (I think that was the law. I remember bars specifically.) The bars my friends and I frequented had to post signs asking people not to bring guns into their establishments full of drunk college kids.

Good use of "fertile Myrtle." A+

I just moved to a new town and had to leave my dogs with my ex and was already considering getting a bunny (I had one growing up). This picture has just reinforced that desire!

I guess I just always assumed the scrunchie was decorative cause it never held my hair up. I always had to use an elastic first. Where are these people that can just go scrunchie-only?

I just broke up with my boyfriend and lost our/his dogs in the process. This whole thread is making me happy and sad at the same time. I miss my Rocky and Harley.

I work at a university in Birmingham and I think I was more worried about my students. We had a banquet in Hoover that night and then everyone drove home right before the warnings started. I was very relieved last night just turned into flood warnings and not tornadoes again.

I live in Alabama and have gone through the past two days of "hunker down, there's a tornado 8 miles away" (literally, there was a tornado about 5 miles from my apartment and I spent an hour in the bathtub watching James Spann/my Wunderground app). I don't know why this story is sadder to me because there were very,

I live in Birmingham so I hid out from these same storms in my bathroom. I've already been crying for like three straight days over various things, including dealing with the stress of the storms. I hadn't heard this story yet...and now I'm crying again.

He looks like he's healing from fight club.

Semi-related: I'm a big NASCAR fan (I know, mock away) and since the series had Easter weekend off, they were reporting on what some of the drivers did on their days off. Jeff Gordon and his equally famous supermodel wife Ingrid Vandebosch posted pictures and videos of their 6 year old daughter running her first

I was looking for it first thing this morning. Not even listed :(

I live in Birmingham now and most people around me pronounce the "i". I'm originally from Arkansas though, so I don't really have a say.
