Personally, I think that games should stop trying to do to much and please everybody. Look at Battlefield 4, for example. Nobody (okay, almost nobody) buys Battlefield titles nowadays for their singleplayer campaigns, Battlefield is instead bought for its multiplayer. But I look at how bad the launch of the

I read the title (multiple times) as "Kerbal Space Program to introduce NASA-Backed Asteroid to Washington DC." I was extremely confused, and have since determined that I need to go back to bed.

BURN THE HERETICS!

"Wooh!"

Hashtags used to be a valuable part of the Gawker commenting system. Whitenoise was once #whitenoise, then there was the ever glorious #trollpatrol, #cornfield, and of course #corrections.

You must not live in a world where sarcasm and jokes exist...

Right? I often walk up to people who look like they have recently spawned, only to be shotgunned in the face. It happened just yesterday, in fact.

Chef Ramsay does NOT approve.

No problem, definitely not a game you want spoiled before playing.

It does.

Yes.

Oh yeah, it's definitely subjective. I would say Crysis's is more stylized, whereas Second Son leans more on the realistic side. I don't think I've ever seen a game so accurately portray the glow from a city, though GTA V definitely did a good job.

Jeez, you picked the worst level to showcase, fairly dull lighting throughout the level, even if it did fit the mood. Levels like the one above were lit much more interestingly.

Like he said, modded. Witcher 2 doesn't have an extensive library of lighting and effect mods, though I think the original Crysis might, but I haven't paid much attention to its modding scene. GTA and Skyrim, however, have a huge amount of mods (both ENB and not) that overhaul the lighting.

I don't know, I haven't seen any PC mods that can truly match the lighting here. Sure, you can get some cool ENB effects in games like Skyrim or GTA, but it still doesn't quite match this level of accuracy (especially since so many ENB presets are blown out and oversaturated).

More powerful, sure, but keep in mind how crazy detailed the rest of the game is. There have to be tradeoffs somewhere, and if they are using cubemaps, I'm personally fine with that.
