I don't know, I would say Corridor Digital and Rocket Jump are probably on the same level as far as visual effects go. The stuff Rocket Jump has done with VGHS is truly impressive.

Last of Us probably holds my number one spot. Captured the tone of the game perfectly with the perfect amount of subtlety. Loved the ronroco in the main theme and its variations.

Much better than hack 'n' slash, in my opinion. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the hell out of your average RPG, but I would much rather play something that requires skills rather than simply having the better sword or spell.
Er, what? Regardless of my opinion of the project, they specifically stated that they're working to rid the game of any of Crysis's standard FPS movement and combat elements. They are literally doing exactly what you're saying.

Nah, that's alright. And honestly, conversations like this are why I still visit sites like Kotaku and Polygon, rather than somewhere like IGN, as the community here seems to be able to hold much more mature conversations than IGN's standard of "OMG XBOX SUX0RZ".
