Indeed. I loved New Vegas's quests, characters, and connection to the original games, but I simply didn't enjoy it near as much as Fallout 3 thanks to the mediocre world.

Blegh, really, New Vegas over Fallout 3? New Vegas was many things, but it had a bland, ugly, and very poorly detailed world. I posted this comparison a couple of weeks ago, but it fits here as well. I chose two screenshots that depict standard weather conditions, both appear to be taken on PC, and are both supposed

Well ain't that a lung tickler!

Interesting, looks like some cut Dead Space 2 ideas. Ishimura 2.0, if I'm reading it correctly. Kind of glad it got cut, seems a bit too obvious for a sequel.

To be fair, the game's DoF pretty much gives it a tilt-shift effect.

*judges you*

Clearly he did not spend $1500 on a comic. He would have backed the production of a comic with a much smaller amount.

Do you not understand how Kickstarter works?

Not that I remember.

Spend a few hours cleaning your mod folder. I guarantee you there are dozens of mods in there that you wouldn't miss nor notice if they were gone.

If you think about it, video games weren't even a thing not so long ago. I'm guessing it'll simply be whatever new form of entertainment pops up in the next couple of decades.

Blegh, just realized I have "however" twice in the last sentence. Forgive me, but the editing period is long gone.

Well, if the parent doesn't care enough to bother looking into the game themselves or even listen to the Gamestop employee, then that's an entirely different problem.

Our local Gamestop is very good about doing exactly this. When I was younger, my mom would come to Gamestop to let me purchase M-rated games that she had approved of. The Gamestop employee would always say something like, "And you are aware that this game is rated Mature for [insert list of reasons here]?"

I always thought that ending was funny. What happens if a few weeks later, she realizes, "OH DANG IT I'M NOT PREGNANT." Can't try again, can you?

Ha... ha, ha.

As somebody who spent 3 years on a mod (Alton, IL) for the game, I'm pretty much certain that's the vanilla weather on PC, though taken at a particularly beautiful time of day (looks to be around 6 o'clock or so). During the day it is much more green, though there are plenty of mods that fix that. ;)

I wasn't counting the originals, as they had nothing to do with Bethesda. Though they were wonderful games, I spent many of my days in middle school blasting the crap out of mutants and trying to understand Doctor Who references.

I tried to find two shots that both showed a big, open mountain view that would capture most of what you see while wandering the wasteland. I will agree that Red Rock and Zion (despite its plastic rock textures) looked good. Hoover Dam was well made too. That's only a few of locations, though, and for most of what

Fallout 3 had no good scenery? I find it to be quite the opposite. Here's a NV screen for comparison:
