I'd put LOTR as its own entry, especially Fellowship. Jackson used every trick at his disposal and then some to completely and believably create Middle-Earth, from short-of-stature Hobbits and Dwarves, to massive armies of Orcs and Goblins and Trolls, to a Balrog that is still the most fucking awesome/scary monster

UK table read- I was knocked out by the diverse & extraordinarily talented new cast members. WOW they're good! The saga is in superb hands.

Hands Down, Lord of the Rings

The Hunger Games.

He's not a Glass Wearer, he's a Glass Explorer

You know, I've been reading since the early 80s so there's a lot of great choices. The Galactus arc of FF by Lee/Kirby. Masters of Evil vs. Avengers. The Death of Gwen Stacy. Kraven's Last Hunt. The Dark Phoenix Saga. Days of Future Past. Born Again. But the story that resonated most with me was Brubaker's epic run on

I know, I know, it's probably one of the most over hyped stories they've done but I really enjoyed this a lot and still side with Captain America on this story.

Civil War. Then House of M. But it isn't even close, really.

Good thinking for Marvel to move the release date of Captain America 3. Let Man of Steel 2 fail on its own, not be held down by superior competition.

Amy Acker really didn't work for me as the cellist. It just felt too much like whedonverse - I hate that this term is even close to a thing - stunt casting, and it didn't help that she is generally known for playing cold or poorly-socialized misfits.

I'm with you on that. The orcs in LotR were wonderfully disgusting with make up and prosthetics, whereas in The Hobbit they were like a video game. too much CGI looks unrealistic imo.

I may be the only person, but I thought the CGI in this movie was horrible. Considering how amazing Treebeard looked in 2002, this film looked like it was ten years before that not ten years after it.

A) It's Captain Marvel now, please. Ms. Marvel is a Pakistani teen with shapeshifting powers (and she's really cool)

I've caught up on all episodes and Jesus, anything up until TRACKS was simply atrocious, not a single likable character or even a character that would have a personality that you'd need more than one word to describe. So I was totally surprised how much i was looking forward to this episode. To be honest it was noting

To be fair, Skye can be "Ms. Marvel" while a separate Carol becomes flat out "Captain Marvel", but I really hope they don't taint the Marvel family with Skye. She's a beyond terrible character.

I was just coming here to say pretty much exactly this.

EXACTLY! And if you ever watch the blu-ray and view the bonus features you'd realize that del Toro wasn't trying to expand the universe. It was a simple monsters vs robots movie and it delivered. It harbored no illusions about what it way and that's why it was so good.

So you think it's Zola too?

This is the best answer in the thread, and the outraged responses show how few people actually read the books. They cast a good-looking guy as Tyrion Lannister, who was horribly twisted and misshapen in the books. Then, they blunted his scar so that it actually looks attractive instead of lopping off his nose. They

1. The only thing that doesn't make sense about this is the 'element he needs just in time'. Other than that, everything checks out. He wanted Tony to have that NO MATTER WHAT. Howard didn't have the tech he needed to make it happen, but he knew Tony would, and even if Howard was killed, he needed a way to relay it to
