They aren’t really using heads-up projected augmented reality, are they? Someone should, but it would require an understanding of where the seat is positioned and a large HUD

Title implies BMW is doing this. The i8 seems like it will be offered the way it always has been

IDEA: Regular airline planes get converted to sleeper planes for redeyes

IDEA: Regular arline planes can become private jets.

Seems incredibly heavy to put all this automation in for a car that should be fast. How fast would it go if it were manually operated?

If TurboTax does its 10% bonus on federal refunds used for Amazon gift cards (needs to be Deluxe or higher), I’ll definitely do it again after the 1st of the year.

Hydrogen isn’t happening for cars. Sorry. It’s gasoline/diesel to electric. Batteries continue to improve and become cheaper, renewable electrical production continues to become cheaper. There’s no room for hydrogen in any material way.

A Bentley with “First Edition” stitching isn’t classy. Can you imagine the Queen in that?

Okay, so it’s no 8 series, but as someone about to list my A6 for about 1/2 of the price ceiling, I’d vote for any of the Stratos Blue C6 A6s on eBay. In addition to the aesthetics, you get nav, bluetooth, front and rear heated seats, pretty good fuel economy and performance, plenty of room, AWD, etc.

3.7 is without launch control. The regular S6 (coming to my garage shortly) does it in 3.7. Sure the Avant slows it a bit, but RS6 Performance has to be faster

Completely disagree

California from Palo Alto to Pescadero is a great route. Very hilly, goes through 5 different microclimates I believe. Just start west from Page Mill at El Camino and map toward Pescadero.

UGLY! Agreed, it’s better than many 1989 cars, but BMW could’ve done much better.

Or this could have something to do with it:

In the 90’s in Indiana we were treated to the Shell SmartPump, which was a robotic gas pumping system that used a transponder in your car that stored your credit card info, a robotic arm and computer-vision. There was a soft suction cup on the arm that would open your fuel door for you, and then a the robotic arm

Tesla Model S 90D. I drove a Roadster Sport, which was awesome, but after driving a Model S, I just don’t look at gas powered cars the same way. Instantaneous software updates, amazing performance, quiet, cheap to drive. Always a full tank for in-state driving.
