I think we need to rethink our approach to piracy.

For example, let’s think about something quite old: public libraries. They were places where anyone could go and get a book for free, read it, then return it so other people could do the same. You could do this countless times, could take the books home to read them.

This technique actually is quite old, dating back at least to Roman speakers. Someone who was studying it mentioned it to me once, though I don't know much about it myself.

Is it just me that finds it disturbing that an admiral gains a small sense of pride just for making his bed in the mornings?

It's not that I disagree, is that you tried to dismiss it as "less important" because it is "just a choice".

I find your point almost offensive. You are basically saying that because you have a dietary need and don't ask people to change a dish over it, other people shouldn't? Or that an ethical choice is not important, and thus people should just disregard them whenever it becomes hard? Or that being a choice, vegetarians

As a vegetarian, I'd say just don't make a huge deal out of it. They probably don't expect you to change your diet for them, and if your diet doesn't accommodate their choices, they'll understand.

I have been a vegetarian all my life, know quite a few other vegetarians, and have seen far more omnivores harassing vegetarians than the opposite.

Brazil is all but good to go. Most of the preparations are not nearly done - some might not be complete before the World Cup. And that is even though the government/FIFA are doing whatever they can - unlawfully evicting people, spending taxpayer money on private money, destroying historical monuments, things like that.

Yes, I read it the last time they changed it (well, I think it was the last). They tried to explain some of the stuff in there and make the text more "friendly", but without some legal knowledge the whole thing is still unclear.

All the legalese on privacy policies, EULAs for me counts as trying to misdirect people. Even if we read the damn things (and many people don't) there is a lot there that isn't clear. And then they update it and change everything again, never for the better.

I would say actually that all big companies are evil, at least to some point. If an organization acts in a way that is harmful to thousands or millions of people just to defend their own interests, that is evil. It is the only possible and reasonable way for a company to behave (in the current economic model) but it

It depends more on the variety than anything. In Brazil you won't find an orange-fleshed sweet potato like in the US (they are usually white or yellow, and not as sweet), though the skin can be pinkish/purple or white/yellow. Yams in Brazil are either cream coloured or grey, sometimes almost white (I have never seen a

The mecha from Muv Luv Alternative are the most awesome, in special the Fubuki. Not dumb-looking, not ultra-unrealistic, hard sci-fi but cool giant robots.
