They did a test back in the 1970's where they let participants sleep as much as they wanted, until they hit REM. Once they did (and began to dream), the participants were woken up. They did this for a significant amount of time.

I love me some Garak. Words cannot adequately describe that love. I'm sure it has a lot to do with Andrew Robinson's portrayal more so than anything Garak ever did (will do?).

I don't know what I can say about this show more than pointing out how well it has kept an identity. Every week I watch it I become more impressed at the ways they keep to their roots, prevent the show from going stale, and limiting themselves to some of the most reasonable assumptions that I've ever seen a TV show

It would probably be deemed saccharine if it aired today, but I think Quantum Leap was a damn clever television series in terms of concept and execution.
