The only improvement to Mail I was hoping for was a smarter approach to what is and isn’t Junk Mail, and a more reliable UI for manually switching messages from “good mail” to “bad mail”, when necessary.

Here’s a new trailer that features the briefest snippet of the season’s new big villain, comic book supervillain Zoom:

Miranda Lawson as Captain Marvel. Intriguing idea.

Great article. Gives me a real Mass Effect vibe, for some reason.

Soooo... maybe kinda like FEAR, but with Brisco County Jr. as a host?

Cool.

Montevideo is the capital of Uruguay (and its largest city). We had to memorize all the capitals in South America in 5th grade.

Not to get too divergent, but help me understand: is Grey Hulk really stronger than Hulk? I thought Hulk’s strength was mapped to his anger, so that as he got angrier, he got stronger — with effectively, no upper limit to his strength. Is this one of those “goes to 11” kind of things? :-)

Meh. EDI fan, myself.

That line still gives me a chill.

I was really hoping Julian McMahon could have done something with Doctor Doom, as there was always this sinister side to his character on Nip/Tuck that I wanted to see more of. And I thought he had the physical look, too. But wow, disappointed.

Must be an Indy thing. Note around 1:43 that she also has an Indy-style hat in her other hand as she’s getting smushed by the ball.

I do think dogs sense (and react to) some power dynamic, even just as far as “who’s in charge of the pack”. Our two dogs act very differently when they’re with my wife alone when I’m out of town for work. Our older one acts as if, when I’m gone, she needs to protect Mom. But when I’m home, her reaction is muted to the

Yup, my thoughts exactly. I can barely recall what happened in Iron Man 3, other than Tony hung out with some kid (WTH?), and Guy Pearce played the same role played by Sam Rockwell and Jeff Bridges.

C’mon, now. We all know it’s due to his SUPER HYPNOSIS!

Ummm, is it just me, or does Eisenberg’s hair in the poster above look a lot like his Lex Luthor wig? Maybe he just brings it to work with him now, regardless of character?

I don’t want to sound like some old crazy person, but I don’t WANT my photos in the cloud. I want them on a hard drive (backed up, yes) on our home network that my wife I can both get access to from our separate Macs. iPhoto could never do this reliably. Given G’s mobile/cloud focus, is it safe to guess that Google

Eddie either becomes another hero or a supervillain.

Yep, my thought, too. Just leave the work phone in the glove compartment of your car — or even better, leave it locked in a desk drawer in your cube — and forward everything along to whatever other phone you want to use while you’re home.
