Exactly, though I stopped at 28. There really is no reason to not be able to equip full exotics, as they don't add much of anything stat wise. Working at full exotics would bring SOMETHING to the game to do, but I'm with you. I don't understand how some of my friends still play this game with the newer games coming…

ok, let's be honest about what happened here; they gutted the game, giving only bare minimum of the story at the start, so then they could sell you dlc with essential stuff that should have been there in the first place.
