I don't know, 30 seconds is a long time to go without ammo if you're in the middle of a huge firestrike with enemies swarming you. Seems relatively balanced as-far as free ammo goes.

If you empty all your ammo of all your guns, after 30sec they will all refill. Happened to me quite often in the strike mission against the spider tank.
