I don’t know much about him, but this rings really true:

An Irish-Catholic family talking about major problems?

Seriously. The lack of paternity leave (plus extended maternity leave) is buuulllllshit.

A few things...

I would prefer a candidate that wants to reform FMLA to include men as well as expanding women’s paid leave. While there isn’t any guaranteed paid leave for mothers they at least have the benefit of using sick time they may have accrued. Men don’t have any of that. I recently had to make the difficult choice of

I am cynical enough, but I see no reason to believe that House Clinton is not genuinely thrilled to be parents and grandparents.

That sounds like a pretty awesome arrangement you have there.

You’re not alone. I have a friend who was adopted, but became extremely sick, and her adoptive family pretty much refused to believe her for over 10 years, even as she got sicker. I interacted with them and they pretty much acted all loving and kind to my face, but thought I was stupid and would believe their lies

I have always loathed this “holiday,” but now that I have my own children I tolerate it. They give me Nutella and let me sleep in, and in return I work to make them feel all the love, support, and acceptance that was sorely missing from my childhood.

And a shout out to all those people that are trying against all odds to still make it work when everybody else wants them to get away.

Happy Mother’s Day y’all!

Hey Jezzies.

My dad had to do this with not just his mother, but his two toxic sisters too. After his dad died, he had no tie to his side of the family any more. I remember we were constantly either not talking to them or, when we were talking, we were fighting. 10 years ago he said he was 100% done, and hasn’t spoken to them

Giving a guy the silent treatment after his first home run is one of the better unwritten rules.

OH NOES, IT’S BABY KILLER ANNA!! RUN! HIDE! SEW YOUR LEGS CLOSED! SHE’S A-COMIN’ FOR YOUR BLASTOCYSTS!!

Not nearly enough. In fact, I’m going to get myself knocked up right now and go abort so we can maintain the quota.

Not an good writer.

My husband had to restrain me at a Disney World counter-service restaurant, where we waited in line to order for FIFTEEN MINUTES, and the people in front of me STILL had to lingeringly peruse the menu board which had been plainly visible to them for FIFTEEN MINUTES (did I mention we’d all been standing in front of it

  • You know... my mom did the same thing with me. I had shown interest in make-up, so she took me out to the mall Merle Normal one evening as a girls night thing and we got me fixed up. I was probably 7th or 8 th grade. Same thing - light tinted moisturizer, a little lip gloss, etc. It wasn’t like she told me to wear

Well done by your mom, knowing to go to Clinique! Absolute best for irritated skin.
