yeah that's what sorta killed it for me. Personally you do temporal story lines as a last resort. Like if you can get away with it you avoid time travel at ALL cost. It can be a really thought provoking story for one episode maybe a two-parter but an arc? I was like ooooook I'm gonna bow out now.

I think it's just a combination of greed and laziness. The Arkham franchise proves that these games can be made but studios lack the creative freedom and time to make a proper product.
