For that, you can check out The Orville.

It’s being done, It’s called the Orville.

Shmight have.

Not bad! Needs less “space” and more “spaaaaace,” though.

That sounds like it could be a good movie!

Fast9: Fury vs. Dark

Even in the 1984 Dune film, the actual “holy” title is “Kwisatz Haderach” and his personal guard are the Feydakyn. It is only later in the books that Muad’Dib becomes the name prayed to by the galaxy at large. On Dune, it is simply his public name and used like some would use a general or religious leader’s name in

As a fervent zealot and steadfast follower of the great Fabricator, I am personally offended that the great  Omissiah was omitted from this list.

How about this, since the beginning of Discovery we have been in a third (fourth, I guess) timeline. So we have the Prime and Kelvin timelines as the two main timelines, what if we have been in a third timeline. With the last jump they did, they are now in the Prime timeline, over the course of the next few episodes

This is a fascinating take, I see no reason why we only have to stick to two universes though, you are right. So maybe not THE Mirror Universe, maybe just yet another timeline where Starfleet is slightly different than what we know (well, maybe more than slightly). That could explain a lot of the canon issues that

Weird. I’ve always enjoyed the Thor books when they were wacky space operas compared to fantasy epics. It’s just too weird when you have gods in spandex, whereas the mythic future take just made more sense.

The fury with which Jar Jar (a character created to entertain kids...and he did...entertain kids) is treated by the masses of (at the time) 20-30 year old asshole fanboy men...is pretty much the height of Star Wars Fandom bad behaviour.

I get where you’re coming from, but I think that the mainstream audiance just wasn’t buying into the more comic-friendly Thor. In the eyes of most people the literal Norse god of thunder was about believable and relateable as Rocket and Groot, so the only real path for the character was to take him in that same

I think this film felt like a parody of a marvel film, or that the director never saw the previous Thor films. I get they were trying to go funny, but they completely robbed the film in serious moments. I left feeling incredibly disappointed (other than in Jeff Goldblum).

Well you cant have both, it maybe unfortunate to some that they went the wacky path instead of the serious tone. but im sure they were afraid to repeat the dark tone oft he dark world.

I do agree with some characters being thrown away so easily without much drama.

All true, but it stands out more because the movies did not use Balder at all, which the comics do.

While I really, really enjoyed this flm I also agree with everything you say!

I agree with you. Like GotG2, it had too many unfunny jokes. I think they decided that they needed more humor, so they ended up with more Goldblum and less Blanchett, and well the movie’s called Ragnarok, and the whole Ragnarok part of the movie ended being less than half the movie.
