Well in hand...heat them while on charge and be sure to insulate the hell out of them. As well, not all heat relies on electricity - it can be harvested from chemical activity & kinetic energy.

You know how the guns go brpppbrpppbrpppbrpppbrppp to hit 5 lugs in a row during a wheel change, then repeat going back on? You can hear that sequence on Fox occasionally even when all tie changes are done or when the pits are empty. I'm sure they think it adds ambience :)
