Your attitude about time is typical of westerners, where 50 years or even 5 is a long time. Time is just one of the levels that China works on, where the scale is beyond the grasp of outsiders. You see the bump on the tail of the elephant, yet there is much more than just that small patch of skin.
They seem to do best when left on their own...
