I grew up in Philly but was fortunate to spend my college years in Boston (attending my father’s alma mater, which I’d once swore I’d never set foot on). I have SUCH a soft spot for the accent and still pepper my own vernacular with “wicked”. When I get fired up, the Boston accent comes up, which my students love.

Man did I love that book when I was in high-school! Of course, I went back and re-read it a few years ago; realizing that it’s essentially a bunch of middle aged guys obsessing over (dead) high school girls kinda dampened the experience for me.

Fox’s own Huckabee has been the Duggar’s biggest defender (when plenty of other conservative types won’t touch them with a 10-foot pole). I suspect this softball interview was done as a personal favor so Fox can get a first exclusive when Huckabbe (inevitably) announces his candidacy.

I tried getting into Mad Men 5 years ago to fill “The Wire”-sized hole in my heart.
