The show has done a great job with balancing a classic Trek tone but trying to modernize it. It isn’t perfect, but the last two episodes have felt like Trek to me and made me very happy. I also have already grown attached to several characters, especially Ash and Staments.

A couple of things. You are correct, I don’t consider Subway to be fast food. First of all, most locations do not have drive thrus. Second of all, everything there is made to order with the customer choosing every ingredient. That right there takes it out of the running.

At least in Star Trek, no one acted so incompetently and moronically as LaMarr. I actually cheered when the admiral said LaMarr would have to get himself out of his situation. If you’re going to be that stupid on a potentially dangerous world, you deserve what’s coming to you.
