Yes, it does make you a monster. On a “pleasant” day (78-ish) the temperature inside your car can rise to 120 degrees in just minutes. If you think death by slow, agonizing heat stroke and suffocation is “no big deal”, you try it. Not a fan of PETA, but this video is a good one to watch for people who are slow to

The commenter was talking about everyday, foreseeable trips. Yes, things can happen where you might have the dog in the car when you normally wouldn’t. But (hopefully) not every single bloody trip.

Cliven Bundy and his band of dickbags not only openly carried guns in their hands, they pointed them at Federal Agents.

You want to go find some other hill to die on, love?

There was no “we.” I gave an aesthetic opinion, you tried to act like it was somehow objectively wrong.

So?

I’d add that Greensboro is also a liberal safe-haven. Our section of the UNC system is trying to fight HB2 and made safe bathrooms all over campus for transgender students. Go about ten miles north, though, and there are PVC crosses dripping with fake blood in people’s yards. Not. Even. Joking.

It’s almost like not everyone on the planet shares your tastes, isn’t it?

Funny enough it seems like the main cause of the shortage is people panicking and trying to hoard gas

My bff is 36 and never learned to ride. He fell off and hurt himself the first (and only) time his parents tried to get him to ride without training wheels. He was a very willful child.

same story here, I’ve ridden a few times as an adult(because physics) and I just cant get into it. It feels like something for kids, and not in a good way.

I love the great sport of cycling for giving me amazing quads and lean calves. But even I (a poor student who cycles out of necessity) avoid cycling on non-residential streets. I will go out of my way to stay on a multi-use path or in a designated bike lane. None of this “just like the other motor vehicles!” nonsense.

your grandma sounds awesome!

It’s much easier if you start with a longboard. (Now it’s the only kind of skateboard I would even go on!) Theyre wider, the wheels are bigger, and it’s just a lot easier. But let’s be honest, cars and feet and boats are really the best transportation, so you’re doing fine.

26 - same! Grew up skateboarding in Los Angeles, which I think is way better.

Me too. I even took classes at REI. My poor husband rode across country in college. Not gonna happen with me

ooo yikes. hope you healed up nice. my co-worker was fine but MAAN.

Same!! I am 35.

I was the same until about 10 or 11yo when my friends grew tired of double-riding me around town. I have that “push the bike away & parent let go of the seat” moment with a childhood friend instead, as two of them taught me how to ride a bike.
