His point was that, in Valve's business model, SteamOS/Steam Machines could fail without costing Valve a Cent because nearly every game sold on SteamOS/Steam Machine would also work on other OSes (Win/Mac/Linux). So Steam doesn't do anything but gain with Steam MAchine Sales and really loses nothing if they don't

Right, but I don't know a single person that doesn't already have a PC or Mac that can play most games.... maybe not at high settings, but that doesn't matter.

That's what the haptic feedback improvements are for - read the announcement, they address this.

Click the link and read the announcement.

And you forget that as part of the announcement, Valve said you can stream your Windows and Mac games from your laptop/PC to the Machine running SteamOS

probably shouldn't be too bad (if any at latency at all), most in-home networks (unless you're still running a 5-10 year old Wireless G Router) are between 150 - 500 Mbps. In contrast, most Internet connections are only 15-30 Mbps.

No, what they are saying is that you can use your windows laptop/PC in the office, game room, etc to stream Windows/Mac games to the SteamBox/SteamOS PC in the living room. From my perspective it's awesome as I have a Windows-based "SteamBox" in the office and the SteamOS on my Linux HTPC in the living room would let

You're missing the point, the OS is designed for PCs running on a TV in the Living Room..... i.e. an HTPC, not the average Desktop you use for everything else. The Availability of the OS is for people like me who has extra computers and for Manufacturers to make SteamOS based boxes to sell for people to hook up to

SteamOS is open source, meaning any person/programmer that wants to can look at and change the source code to fit their needs

Not entirely,

Windows also costs $100+ to have for an extra computer. For me, I have a gaming laptop and an HTPC, why would I buy Windows for the HTPC if I could install SteamOS for free and use the laptop to stream the Windows games to the TV?

Dude, the SteamOS is NOT designed for the Computer sitting at your desk or your laptop. It was created for 3 reasons:

A free Linux-based OS that can stream your Windows and Mac games to it as well

I'm going to say this again:

This is why some Developers are starting to tell other devs to start using OpenGL.

They fly in Atmosphere as well (strike on New Caprica involved vipers launching airstrikes in atmoshpere).

We just have to wait for X on Wii U. I don't like the lack the sales of the Wii U, but I know it will get good use once more games come out.

1. No, Gamestop got an Exclusive Retail deal, but Nintendo Published the Game in America and MonolithSoft Developed the game. Gamestop wasn't involved in that matter at all, as such they would still be breaking copyright law if they make unauthorized copies.

1. They aren't the publisher/developer and with specific rights to do so, they cannot legally "make" more copies (same as piracy). That would be in violation of Copyright, so if they did that, they're already doing something illegal.

If that is true, isn't that illegal?
