I'm with you. Animals should be left alone. We should keep to our spaces and let them have theirs. BUT people are notoriously bad at leaving animals alone.

yup! Love me some Donny Osmond!

not to mention the trauma on the children. Because seeing something like that would be deeply traumatic for a child who has never had any experience with that sort of thing.

I'm entitled to my opinion. I think these parents are wrong to expose their children to this, was was probably very bloody and gory and even frightening for kids that young.

you are welcome to disagree, however you have not changed my mind. They're too young. Older kids would have been okay, this was probably very bloody and kind of scary for kids that young. It is not as though we live in a hunter-gatherer society where kids need to be able to perform these tasks. Too young.

"Before they did so, however, they fielded a number of offers from other zoos to take him in and one offer from a private individual to buy the giraffe for $680,000. All of the offers were turned down, saying that the space should be used instead for what the zoo's Scientific Director Bengt Holst called a "genetically

Why does a 6 year old need to learn the anatomy of a giraffe? Honestly, I just think the kids were a little too young. It's kind of gruesome to watch an animal being butchered, especially an animal as large as a giraffe. There must have been a lot of blood. It's not like we live in a hunter gatherer society where

there were people who offered to take the animal, which was perfectly healthy. They even offered the zoo a substantial amount of money for it. I don't think it was necessary to kill the animal and find it regrettable. However, I don't really have a huge moral problem with it. The meat went to the lions, which is

I don't have a problem with the butchering, but the actual killing of the animal. I just think they were too young, I'd be okay if they were 12 or older.

I agree with you to an extent, but we no longer live in a world where the average person needs to be able to handle killing an animal. I think I would be okay with older kids watching this, I just think the kids are too young.

well said lol

I don't agree with the inclusion of children in this event, maybe older kids but these kids look like they're anywhere from 6 to 9 years old. That's too young for something like this.

This is kind of funny, I'm glad we can smile at the monk's frustration now. But look above his little tantrum - that calligraphy is gorgeous. A beautiful work of art and a funny swear, lol.

what a cool idea! I love it! <3

Am I the only one that looked at this and thought "Cyberman"?

THIS. IS. AWESOME!!!

actually, I kinda like it...

no one is promoting it like it's good. And fuck you, by the way.

Childhood ruined

It's not very nice. Kids are insulted when their peers call them fat. A lot of little
