Why does everyone think that the only purpose of pickup trucks is to go off road? Is it so hard to imagine that people might want to go fast but also need to haul a load of lumber/drywall/mattress, and still use their truck to its full potential without ever going off road?

Just hurry up and bring these "small" trucks to production so you can take my money! I'M GETTING IMPATIENT!

Yup. It worked on me. I had a 96' 1500 club cab 4x4. Bright red, looked like a fire truck. I could fit 6 girls in the cab.

Yea! Why would we want a pick up truck to be tough, capable, AND be somewhat nice?! They should all be ramblers from 1983!

Your wrong. How would I get my dirtbike to the track or trails without a pick-up, or what would I have done with that elk I shot last weekend?

Fear is a powerful motivator. Long term disability insurance, political attack ads, Faux News. Where would they be without it? Mix fear with perpetual vicitmhood and you have a winning combination.

I'm pretty happy with the direction that trucks have gone in. I love my '99 Cummins, it has the perfect balance of comfort and functionality. As far as new trucks the only things I don't like are center consoles, the price and the EPA garbage one the exhaust. Anyone who thinks that a European ford ranger with power

I'm a nissan/ford truck guy, but damn that thing looks awesome. If only there were some way to convince myself and my dad we need a 4th truck. For work of course. *cough*

Everything about your argument is wrong. I've never seen anything that said how a truck was supposed to be used or who should buy one. I don't see whats wrong with having safety features unless you like being seriously injured or dead and who the hell wouldn't want power locks or windows. Not everyone wants a manual

An ex-gf's brother had a '95 Dodge with the Cummins turbo-diesel. What a great truck

So what?

Interesting. So you would buy a 1979 Ford F150 with the over-smogged 302 and a slushbox that made seemingly double-digit horsepower and single digit economy, but the 2013 F150 with low-20s MPG and 300+HP is out? Brilliant.

So the '97 Ram is getting called out for infusing a little style to a segment that previously had none. I'm not a truck guy, so I don't understand the rationale here.

He got the pickup truck nomenclature so wrong as to invalidate everything else he blathered about the Dodge. 1500, 2500, and 3500 are not the carrying, and especially they are not the towing capacity of pickup trucks. WTF.

Wait, so what you're saying is that high powered, high reving engines that are placed int he middle rear or rear of vehicles where it's naturally harder to keep them cool have a problem with overheating and catching fire? Baahhhh, get out of here.

Isn't that what makes the lap more impressive? That it isn't easy to control?

Nothing tells me how they did it.

Ford should just put Hennessy in charge of the performance division.

I thought this was going to be a video about what went into the engine build, what sort of aerodynamic tricks they used, what sort of tires they run, problems during the build, etc.

Disappointed.

GTR who? Lamborghini what? FORD GT ALL DAY EVERYDAY BABY!
