So your just making asinine statements. I see. Thanks for your input.

Haha, that's how I ended up with my crew cab F-150 Lariat. Dangerous thinking, that :)

You and me both buddy. A 6.2 in an rcsb is a dream truck. Anyone who says they need a quad-cab truck should probably get a minivan...

You did it! You found the worlds perfect truck!

The Tacoma is the size of an F-150? WTF. The Tundra is the size of an F-150. The Tacoma is a mid-size truck. If you don't know something, look it up. I'm not going to do the homework for you.

Dodge Ram, Dakota? Because the Dakota is about the size of the modern Tacoma. And, obviously, the Ram is bigger than that. So because your 1990 Dodge was gods greatest truck on earth we should have just kept all trucks the same? And progress in the truck world is bad why? Should have stopped improving the Corvette

The Tacoma is huge!!??? WTF are you talking about?

No no, I get the Charger SRT8, the wife gets a Honda Odessey. Although she seems to have it the other way around in her head.... Something about how she had to put up with putting me through grad school, so she deserves the Charger....

I don't accept that last statement. I hate to sound like a MURICA' spouter, but in this damn country, you can buy whatever the hell you want.

always good to have a "truckie" around :)

damn right. And the bed size of the s-10 and ranger is a joke. What do people expect to fit in there? There is a reason no one makes these things any more.

I usually get railed for saying this because it's a full-size, but I honestly think that if a person needs a truck, then a full-size regular cab short bed, like the Ram Express, is the most practical truck you can get. It has the same wheelbase as a Tacoma, but with a much more usable bed and tow rating, is basic

Now that is a well stated argument. Nicely done. But, the fact is people demonize full size truck owners far more than sports cars, particularly jalops, because they are not being used to haul 100% of the time. Or, they see some guy, like myself, who happens to have his family in his truck at one particular moment,

Your right, I don't mean to imply they are awful. I just get so tired of jalops preaching that trucks are too big. I will say that whenever I see an old truck on the road that clearly has done a lot of hauling and is still running, and the owner obviously loves it, it's an s-10.

I agree it was a POS. But read through the posts on the this page, there is always a bunch of "the s-10 was the last great small truck" which is just a mind-blowingly wrong statement. I get the impression that a lot of folks don't recognize just how limiting the bed-size of a Ranger, Tacoma, Frontier, Colorado, is;

And yes, the 4x4 tacoma's are great. I've personally had 3.

Quite ugly. But no uglier than the old 2wd s10's that so many jalops insist are the perfect truck.
