Yeah, I have wondered the same thing. I'm just parroting what I've heard, no guarantee I am correct. It could be more of a longevity issue. Sure, the electric power steering can turn 35's no problem, but it's not as durable as the hydraulic power steering over the long-term.

No question, but different application than the Raptor. The wrangler is great for rock crawling in tight spaces. The Raptor gets you 10 ft off the ground at 80 mph. I dare you to do that in a wrangler, haha.

Wow, do some research! SRT-10 has lower suspension and is rwd. The point of the Raptor is off-raoding. Nobody in their right mind would take an SRT-10 off-roading.

I've been looking at SRT 10's pretty seriously, and you can easily get one with $20-30k with 20k miles on it. Saw one the other day that was 9k miles for 30k. Pretty good deal me thinks....

Pretty sure they are special edition for the new Rumble Bee

As for the Raptor with an ecoboost: I have heard from Ford engineers that the Raptor still runs hydraulic power steering, and the electronic power steering associated with the ecoboost can't handle the punishment of 35's cruising through the desert, at least not long enough to survive a standard warranty period.

haha, I get jokes :)

I stand by my argument that the suspension is too stiff to actually compete with the Raptor. The Power Wagon is tough, no question.

Yes, that is right, 4x4 is closer to 30k.

They stopped making the RCSB tundra starting with the 2014 refresh. Could have ordered one up till ~3 weeks ago.

Oh, and factory installed supercharger bumping up to over 500 hp, without modifying the warranty. Awesome!

I'm quite partial to the RCSB 4x4 Tundra with the 5.7. Amazing machine. Not really a raptor competitor, as I would not drive 80 mph in the desert with a short wheelbase, but still a great truck.

I agree with all your points, it is definitely a regional thing. I just think jalops should be more open minded about trucks. They are great machines with some cool engineering, just like the other "cool" car. I just appreciate the engineering of a great solid rear axle and strong transfer case more than many

It really is too bad about the rcsb express. That's a damn good deal for a 5.7 hemi rcsb truck WITH 4x4.

The problem with building a new SRT 10 is it would be too expensive, unless they went with the 6.4 Hemi instead of the V10, but then it would be an SRT8 Ram. Seriously though, a new SRT 10 Ram would run at least 80k, and truck buyers don't want to spend that much on a truck! I follow the SRT 10 forums every now and

They still sell the Power wagon, but it is too big and too stiff to do the stuff that the Raptor is built for. The Power Wagon is a great truck, but I wouldn't drive it 80 mph through the desert.

I don't justify it. I don't need any of my trucks. But I love trucks, and I don't give a shit about paying for the gas, because it's fueling my love for trucks, haha.

I drove my crewcab 4x4 F150 Lariat as a DD for a few months in Houston traffic, and I LOVED it!! Very comfy, super spacious, leather, air conditioned seats, sunroof. If I am going to be stuck in traffic, I might as well be comfy! Oh, and I'm a tall guy, so I feel especially comfy in a truck.

Definitely agree. Fuck rolling coal.

Something tells me the SRT Grand Cherokee is not exactly a Baja-ready machine....
