Well I meant Witcher 2, not the original witcher.

Oh Without a doubt. Most of those games actually bring out my point very well. All of those games has one thing in common. Their rise to fame has been an Active and engaging game play experience.

Hehe, yes.. I was going to bring that up at the end. That the western trend is to buckle down and just do FPS's in order to gain profit, but it's somewhat unfair to say that. Since it's because of the tight economy that publishers look with puppy eyes at Call of Duty and say, we want that too!

Personally, I think that the biggest reason why there's a huge decline in the quality of JRPGs this generation, is gameplay. Pure and simple.

Chair adjuster?!

It's not really the same. At the beach it's what you wear to bath and bask in the sun, and because of that it's to be expected. People will still complain if they're wearing something to revealing though.

Narrative isn't simply narrowed down to just the story. Narrative is also everything surrounding the story, and how it's portrayed and displayed. It's the way the pacing of the story makes you feel, it's how every thing is presented.

Reading through it, it just seems like they're all rooting for a story heavy, and driven game. Possibly that's what I want to read, but it just comes across that way. Even when Avellone cites his story of a New Vegas moment, it's still woven into a story narrative.

Yeah!

Really wish you could get it for another platform... I really wanna try it, but I don't wanna play games on my iPod.. it's my music box, nothing else.

I'm gearing up for a real playthrough of Ninja Gaiden II!

Congratulations man!

I don't see what's wrong about looking at Skyrim for inspiration... I mean there's a lot more to a game then just it's core game play.. and looking at different games, not just the ones in their own sub-genre, is how games grow.

That really should their national anthem... it's catchy :D

Yeah! since there's so many of the Essentials you're just itching to stab!

Very interesting article!

This is just a stones throw away from pimpin'...

Well.. change the art direction a bit, alter the main story a bit.. and boom, you've got Dead Rising: Operation Shoot a Zombie in The Face.

The risk of making a new IP is so much greater, then making a bad sequel... since the sequel will still sell really well. Doesn't matter if it's bad, a great example is FF13.

I can see your angle, with sending invites to old subs... but at the same time.. those old subs must've stopped for a reason.
