Nailed it. They are the modern day Pharasees who were upset, enraged and later did all they could to silence Jesus because he openly cursed them for their activities.

White American Evangelism is a cult. Its a perversion of Jesus teachings since the founding of this country. I would also include protestants and of course catholics who have willingly practiced hatred and racisn while praying to God.

Because Christianity is about maintaining the status quo, not the teachings of Christ.

There was a split in the Baptist church before the Civil War over slavery. The Southern Baptist Convention is the white supremacist product of that schism.

Considering the fact that the average white supremacist and Trump voter is Christian Im gonna go ahead and pass on the notion that religion is somehow going to be the answer to stopping this mess.
