Totally agree and you cannot blame them. Legal or unlegal is very different from right or wrong. Unfortunately, their paid congressional cronies, write the laws so it is legal. Just not fair/honest/right.

And should care why?

Offer me a two-door and I will consider it.

Just curious, why do you think it would be the best?

Thank you. Need a job? Jalopnik is apparently looking for a good writer.

Same thought I had but I was thinking a military surplus model.

I vote Crack Pipe

Another way to save is change your origin. I had to move out of San Diego years ago, military move, and it was the time when everyone was leaving Cali. So truck rentals were a minimum of $2000.00 one way to my destination due to lack of inventory. They damn near paid you to bring a truck into Cali. I picked the truck

Putting up a “For Sale” sign?

If it had the barn doors in the back, then maybe.

Second car? A 1984 CJ-7 purchased used in 1985 with 11K on that big round odometer. I drove it cross country a week later from Mass to San Diego. I still have that damn thing.

Is “Recharge” really correct? Shouldn’t it just be “Charge”? No one says I need to recharge my battery they say I need to charge my battery.

This is very true....which by extension, makes David Tracy.......... Tony Montana from Scarface. “Meet my little friend!” turns out to be a Jeep DJ.

Never said it couldn’t off-road. I’m sure that part is great, for a while anyway. The problem is just the cost. What a waste of a good opportunity.

Yeah, like I said, it’s about the money. Same reason they don’t make a single cab Gladiator, not worth it to them.

Not arguing it’s capabilities, just it’s price point. I was truly hoping for that capable, utilitarian off-roader for the masses. Not another Beverly Hills carpooler.....

lol...no, no, I didn’t mean to imply that you could buy an Icon for $90k, sorry. More just saying that if I have stupid money, it would not be spent on a Land Rover Defender.

Praise him for what? Designing an overly complicated and expensive 4wd? With extremely questionable reliability? The only one praising him will be the board members of Land Rover when these things sell all over Hollywood to the elite. Decked it’s a $90K SUV? Give me an ICON Bronco please.

Apparently these spoiled brats over here at Jalopnik have negotiated some extra holidays.

Brilliant! Now just make my fenders point exactly where my tires are pointing. Because on my Jeep, that damn steering wheel throws it out of alignment constantly and I have to keep adjusting it. (Sadly, even when going down a straight paved road.) Another one of those damn flaws from WWII I think.
