Ok, we disagree. My opinion is that an 6.5ft really isn’t even a necessity for a 1500 and you are jumping right to 8 ft. Remember what we are talking about here, personal 1/2 tons. You wanna talk HDs, then that I might concede a necessity but even then, most workers I know just use a dump truck at that point and still

True, V8 and 4wd are often not needed and I truly think bed size is the same. My father switched to a crew with short bed and he has never missed the bigger one once. Fits his ATV, all the dirt and stone he normally hauled in spring, and all the lumber he ever needed.

As do I. And my truck has the bigger bed but I know plenty who only run the short bed and they say it all they need. Not much actual volume is lost but they love having more interior covered cargo area.

Reminds me of a story of my youth:

He said needs and that is about what everyone needs.

Probably would have gotten painted mirrors as well but the tow mirrors only come in black or chrome.

I will agree, that is a pretty steep price for that little. Usually, the average option package is the Big Horn edition at around$38k-$40K. I see more of those than absolutely anything. This is pretty loaded for a Tradesman

Yep, and he says so in the article.

Plus, all the cars were not in fact, black! Some were actually silver or even red!

Well, without the motors to make it fold and adjust, it may be even cheaper.

Because cameras can remove all blind spots, increase aerodynamics and remove noise. Why upgrade anything then? Let them try it. The market will dictate whether the technology will sell.

Yeah, we never had to carry drip pans. Then again, I remember digging a hole under my 5-ton to change the transfer case fluid out in the Mojave.

Great! Now you will get the drivers in trouble. The wheel chocks are supposed be in front of the tires when parked, not in the bed. The road-master will get to rip them a new ass.....lol Notice the two front tires on the Humvee were different treads?

2 minutes my ass. Go ahead, time it from the second you hit the curb to when you leave. You just don’t get it, it’s just a simple convenience. I used to change my own oil but not now. I just don’t take enjoyment in it, but I still make my own coffee. I just don’t judge others who don’t.

Nobody is that busy but yet restaurants thrive because people don’t want to cook at home. What’s wrong with someone paying for a convenience? Just think of all the businesses that provide nothing but a convenience: coffee shop, bakery, quickie lubes, car washes, sandwich shops, laundry services, etc., etc. etc.

Some people look at driving as a chore and getting gas the worst part of it. Where do you stand on grocery or meal delivery? Hell, some people don’t even mow their own lawns! The lazy bastards...

I have a failure right now. Phone bluetooth will only connect to my laptop and headphones. It will not connect to my vehicle or anything else. Thank god for the aux jack. And it works so much better than bluetooth ever did in the car. I still want bluetooth for other things though.

That’s why I hate convertibles but love a Jeep with a bikini top and no doors. More air without the damn sun.

Well in this fight, I’m going to go ahead and stay behind the wheel. Apparently it’s much safer there!
