Praetor is saying, and I agree, that "non-GAAP" basically makes that statistic not worth publishing in this feature.

No wavedashing? This shit's for casuals.

You're right, he definitely had a defiant social disorder at those press conferences this week.

Yeah, not uncommon to see this by the street in front of people's houses, even within 15 minutes of Baton Rouge, LA where I live. Usually tomatoes or watermelons.

This article comes out against alarmist claims, like "games are too long," but ends up sounding more extreme than the video it's countering. Video games are definitely a victim of bloat, seemingly more so than other media. Is length the problem, or is it that game creators aren't capable of editing down their content

And that's where we get into murky territory. Because really: how do you compare the 30-50 hours it takes to play Shadow of Mordor with the 400-plus some have spent with Destiny? Or the 30-40 hours for Grand Theft Auto 5? The 50-80 hours of Dragon Age: Inquisition? That's not even considering other great games that

I had NO IDEA that Sony owned Crackle.

MIKE FAHEY: HERO OR MENACE?

I don't read many "longreads"... not because of the tag, but because I bail when I realize how long the article is. Sorry, Stephen, but Kotaku competes with actual games for my valuable time. :)

I'm primarily a SC campaign and UMS player. I watched bits and pieces from the first hour, and one thing I don't understand is why the Zerg player kept focusing on the massed units and defenses. Early on, the main base didn't seem to have comprehensive defenses, but the Zerg was dissuaded by as little as a turret, or

Oh yeah, I had almost pulled the trigger on your deal, but think I held back a little longer until I found this. All the negative publicity scared me off of Unity, and I figured I'd be able to find Black Flag for cheap, between age and it being a bundled game. I would have gotten MCC, but I had it on good authority

I got a refurb XB1 w/ Kinect from the MS store over the Black Friday weekend; 3 free games (Ryse, Dance Central, and Forza 5... maybe not the same you're talking about), plus Far Cry 3 in box, all for $329. Pretty sweet deal. Can't really say the Kinect was worth it though.

Well, technically you still have to figure out which color she is. Still, I agree. They even force him upon you, having him run up to you and initiate conversation. It seemed like they should have let you stumble upon him through random conversation, and perhaps dropped a hint about talking to the man in the rat mask

There are 5 songs between the two albums that are worth hearing, none of which rise to the level of the first 4 albums (maybe they'd fit in with the Black Album).

YES. THEY. DID.

I feel the need to point out that every main album that abandoned the basic theme of the original Metallica logo sucked. Load, ReLoad, and St. Anger. Besides that, I like the aesthetic, but it's hard to beat the design on the original Puppets cover. Seems like any of the other three early albums would have been better

Oh, the commentary is fantastic. I don't usually listen to commentary tracks, but that one was recommended to me. Been a long time, though.

Nah, I'm just now getting around to watching the series, and am currently in season 4. Glad I caught your joke, though!
