Wenger is on his way out. This is very much a band aid. He will be gone this year or the next and they will stockpile some money for the new manager to mold the team.

Look, the school either has a policy in place, to deny a person, who has been allowed to attend the school, participation in intercollegiate sports, based on bad acts prior to attendence, or it has no such policy, and is just making this up as it goes along. It it’s the latter, this isn’t going to stand, and it

You’re not satisfied with the courts so you want to impose your own justice? You don’t get to make that decision.

I did read it. But you didn’t answer my question. At what point do we recognize a person served his punishment? It’s a simple question. What’s the timeline?

I’m not arguing his crime. I’m arguing our response to it. He went through the court system. My question is: at what point do you believe he gets on with his life? Ten years? Twenty years? Never?

I’ll ask you the same question: at what point does society decide a person has served their punishment? And why do you get to decide?

Unless I’m mistaken he was kicked off the Youngstown State football team. Tell me I’m wrong. It’s a matter of when are people satisfied that a person has been punished? This will follow him for the rest of his life.

He wasn’t in jail or prison. He was in juvy. He was and is considered a child (not a man) when he committed the rape. His records are now sealed and his time has been served. Therefore, he SHOULD be allowed to play football or get a job or do whatever the hell he wants within the limits of the law. It doesn’t matter

I was wrong. Those two girls didn’t stab their friend to death but they did TRY to stab their friend to death. Look at the comments on this latest Jezebel update of the Slenderman stabbings. You can look up the comments on other stories they did too...

Given the final score I’m reminded of the old adage, “expect a close game especially early.”

In case anybody is wondering, the final score was 3-1 Arsenal.

So will there be a full match report mea culpa or nah?

That’s why they are two separate paragraphs. Because they are two unique thoughts that aren’t fully related to each other.

In the women’s 800M, there are 3 women who are intersex and they have only lost to each other in the last two years. In every race. Including Olympics and world championships. They haven’t even lost to the Russian dopers. That’s how wide the gulf is.

I’d agree, except it “not being about competition.” It’s a race, which is the most literal example of competition. Also, his daughter’s times in both the 100m and 200m would not have even qualified her for the finals in either event in the Boys’ division. So, I think it DID have something to do with her success

I guess. It’s great that he’s supportive, of course, but he comes off pretty selfish to me, like “as long as me and mine get whatever we want, everyone else can get fucked.”

That’s a shit take

I agree with you, I don’t think its dumb opinion at all. I have no issues with transgender people, but when sports are divided into men’s and women’s competitions, there has to be some barrier so a man can’t decide one day that they consider themselves a woman and immediately start competing in the women’s division. I

As Sarah notes, this is a tricky issue. As far as where transgender people want to take a piss, that’s really their business - use whatever restroom you’re comfortable in. However, this kind of thing affects other people. The biological girls that got their asses kicked in these races have a legitimate gripe, in my,
