I thought I was super still with things - even kid things, because I still watch the Disney Channel (shut up) and hang out on the interwebs, but then my 9 year old niece got a Skype account and started talking to me and I found myself googling 75% of what she said just to try to keep up.
I can't tell if it's regional, or if four years really makes that much of a difference, because I'm sixteen and I know who most of the celebrities you listed are, and of the Youtube people I have only heard of Ryan Higa, and I thought he'd kind of faded away a year or two ago.
