My favorite character is my Dwarven Priest of Hanseath. A hard drinking and hard fighting dwarf. I even took a few levels in Fighter later on. H taunted an orc army that had the group surrounded with songs about princess Grumsh losing her virginity to a fence post, Negotiated a cease fire by kicking the emissary in

Apparently we have intersecting fantasies as I too daydream about drinking whiskey with women who have geographical names with my faithful canine. Good on you sir. ( While I did enjoy Sons of Anarchy you would not catch me dead in a Cracker Barrel)

Cecilia, my sincere thanks I used your cooking rules for a base and added cooking as a challenge in my dungeon. Ironically one of my players while in Culinary school had for a project done a D&D themed menu so was really excited when the challenge came to use his druid (the only one with cooking skill ironically) to

I strongly disagree with the Movies on display. As long as your collection is neat and organized having a Bookshelf dedicated to movies works fine. In some ways movies are much like Books or album collections used to be. guests can peruse these and get a sense of a person’s taste and such. The biggest key is learning

I am stealing this idea!

O can not give this enough stars

I have my PC tower plugged into my Plasma tv, plays perfectly well. no issue and just as good as if not often batter than cable. I actually like the player.

yeah I really miss Frontier Defense, was probably my favorite mode to play adn I’d love to try it with some of the new stuff.

Also I play exclusively Bounty Hunt. <shrug>

Central US, PC and I rarely have an issue EVER getting a match. I think the longest I’ve waited is 3-5 minutes.

No apology needed, it’s always good to hear the perspective of those lived it and your post was both eloquent and enlightening. I truly hope you continue to heal and recover well.

I rolled up a Dwarven Priest of Hanseth (He eventually went Cleric/Fighter). So here I am playing a Dwarven priest devoted to Drinking, war and travel (I actually sat there drinking Jack Daniels during the game to “get into character”.

Running a D&D 3.5, 3 person party the NPC mimic they had rescued from slavery to a hill giant. They a routine when bandits appeared. They’d cooperate, get the “chest” down and when the mimic(Fred) whalloped the first bandit to get close the party would attack and kill the bandits. Did this once a week for 4 sessions.

I was thinking the Taliban is a better example. Other governments love pointing out the US practically created them and Russia in the late 90s was screaming about them and Al-Qaida while the US trundled along ignoring the monster. Just because Manhattan becomes a threat would be a far conclusion ANY other country

History strongly argues otherwise.

Thank you Natasha, most people don’t understand why I haven’t spoken with my mother in 15+ years (close friends from growing up understand too well). Too many judge without having a clue why and that I put on society. Some people just shouldn’t be parents I know mine made me never want to be one for fear of being like

While a giant space squid is indeed idiotic, the whole point of it is obviously lost. Making Manhattan the “squid” fails utterly in the grand scheme. The ENTIRE point of the squid was to unite the world against a third party (albeit an imaginary one). Making Manhattan the squid doesn’t achieve the goal. The world

Actually Snyder’s mistake was being to dismissive of the source material. Too many things failed because the details that lent them impact were gone in Snyder’s need for “cool visuals” and more action.

Bummer, I really liked it. I pictured that deadpan sarcasm look she used to great effect on Person of Interest.
