This is part of the reason I never bought into the cult of the sword, and always play mages in RPGs ;). I was heavily into martial arts history and development in jr high school through college, and was aware how messy real combat was.

I support his decision.
This game was so depressing, though hahaha.
I like Skinny Mario. I think his animations show up better. And IIRC, the only reason Mario has a mustache and is chubby was due to how sprites were used and how they were animated.
Once she died, I stopped playing the game. She was the only character in that game I actually liked haha.
Very noticeable with Sailor Moon. It was pretty easy to tell when there was budget and the A-team was assigned to art and animation versus the D-team.
I am playing through “Icewind Dale 2” now, and I make a Wizard with thieving skills and high dex to allow me to unlock stuff :). I play a game with mostly pure wizards, but two wizards with high combat skills and stats. I guess I have wizards on my mind.
No. I generally play mages and wizards, so am used to blending interactivity into combat systems without a sword or gun. I even played through the various “Fallout 3” games with unarmed combat and speech focused characters - I called them Bene Gesserit. But, anyway, my comment had more to do with watching the live…
“Dark Souls III” looks really good. I’d like to see a intro trailer featuring the different classes.
I’d love to see more games with less guns & shooting involved.

I agree. Every day, this series seems more like shlock anime designed with sales figures in mind than smart commentary on any thing.
I liked Stella’s character design, but we never saw her do much so I guess it’s a small loss.
Same here. I’m always amazed when people say they are so dedicated to this game because of the PVP. It’s just way too laggy and imprecise to ever be a good PVP game.
On the other hand, he’s just being a reporter and following up on his older article considering he called it a disaster then and presumably gave them time to pull things together. It would be a different story if he was able to report on some positive developments, but I think it’s fair to follow up on this one.
I think it would be cool to make alternate versions of the trailer with different protagonists - male and female variations of the Caucasian, Latin, African, and Asian ethnic backgrounds used in FO3. Should work since there is no fixed protagonist.
Would you say that this business model could use crowdfunding as a substitute for tactics to get profits to cover expenses (such as pre-orders)? Example: A) Developer prepares a demo & presentation materials for attracting investors/customers, B) This group gets the game they funded plus whatever added bonuses their…
Great video! Thanks for the link. I think this analysis can be extended to other entertainment industries.
