I have a plausible explanation; that it looks like the kid is singing into a microphone.

That’s what I thought too.

Ohhhh ew. I thought they were making a joke pretending she was singing into a microphone or something. Ew ew ew.

This episode was not like any other episode of this series to date. From the instant Simmons realized she was on a different planet and the title appears silently, you just knew this was something special.

Or, the movie is 90 minutes of him sitting really still on a bench and everyone walking by pretending they can’t see him.

I think there’s also a long historical/literary tradition of great heroes going into seclusion after the war is over.

I actually liked the Firefly stuff, I thought it was a pretty nice origin for a supervillain. And then they put her out of commission right after the origin. Uhg.

I’m a guy, and this horrifies me more than I can express.

I’d have loved if OP just silently picked up the mashed potatoes with her hand and put them back on the plate.

See also: CRV. When I was a cashier, I had a customer argue with me that the cheap, terrible beer he bought ought to be even cheaper because he had “never heard” of CRV and that Target never “charged” it.

NJ has sales tax.

Now, for my story. I’m from PA and there is no sales tax on clothes here. When I moved to VA for a little while, I went to buy a shirt that was $19.99. When it was more than $19.99 I was confused and asked about it. The sales person said it had sales tax on it. And I went “oh” and paid for it.

Really,

Could this be the first instance where the overwhelming Rule of the People actually trumps Pinkham’s Law? Do you have to asterisk the law? Essentially lifting the buttcheek of the Law to accommodate for the 2015 Fart Amendment?

She shook her head disgustedly, then proceeded to scoop up the mashed potatoes and toss them off of her plate and onto the table.

How are people defending this?

Last Tango in the Epcot France Pavillion

This may be the weirdest application of Pinkham’s Law yet.

There’s a new commercial on Hulu for United Methodist Churches that says “Church can happen anywhere” ...that phrase really scares me for some reason...like I’m going to wake up in my house, go downstairs, and there’s church going on.... gives me the chills.

Whenever I hear somebody use female as a noun while referring to humans, it is an immediate sign to me that whatever is coming out of their mouth will be deeply rooted in misogyny. I have yet to be wrong.
