This exchange is very illuminating for me. Thank you all.

I’m not sure that he celebrity status has excused her from the law. Even before she announced her transition, the circumstances do lean more toward accident. Also I dont think the local prosecutors have ruled out pursuing it, just taking their time in deciding. I worry that her celebrity status will lead to the

Well manslaughter in a traffic accident usually requires a certain amount of negligence. I am not sure if driving below the speed limit but a little too fast for the wet conditions raises high enough to be a criminal offense. It could actually just be a tragic accident. As far as I know she was not drinking or doing

Well yeah calling her him is inaccurate because regardless of her genetic makeup, she is still female. Also Whether its hate speech or just ignorance speech, calling someone by the wrong pronouns is insulting as hell. So don’t do it.

Wow that suprises me. I really thought that you could not do that.

Well they are technically suing the estate. It will be thrown out pretty quick I think. I am pretty sure the only things you can sue an estate for are regular debts not some new liability. But I am no lawyer. People forget that in you can sue anyone for anything, but that does not mean that it will get on the docket

The ratio of poor vs. rich at those schools could be shifted a lot by putting that money towards tuitions.

yeah no kidding. If I tried that crap with my dad. He would have eaten my hot dog for me. When I cried, he would have said, but you said you did not want it. When I said I wanted a different one without ketchup touching the bread, my dad would have said. How the hell are you going to pay for that? Any food pickiness I

No one has forgotten what they did. But there is a difference between a twelve year old with mental illness and a full grown adult with all their faculties.

I don’t think she forgot in the story. I think that she was just in a panic.

That poor mom. She must have been worn out to near collapse. Well done Cat, nice save!

I am unreasonably aroused by this entire article.

Radicalized Wiccan?

Smelling suspicious here. Very not wiccan. I wonder if its an 80s style Devil Worship scare and they had a next door neighbor who happened to be wiccan and is now therefore a suspect, and the killings rituatlistic. Also “blunt force trauma” seems like an unusual take on human sacrifice.

Well yeah.. I guess there is that.

Oh go I could totally see myself doing what he did. When I hear “hey you have it on tap” I would immediately assume the guy was joking and respond with my own joke. I bet they guy thought it was all in fun until the customer starting asking around.

not true... the little “drum sticks” are just the upper arm portion of the wing. Common confusion though.

Regarding MAtt Halpern’s story. I completely sympathize with the woman, although pouring the drink out was too far. It is absolutely not her fault the stand ran out of condiment cups and had not enough backups and it is absolutely not her problem that the stand uses the regular cups for inventory counts. The stand

Regarding Steve’s. I can see how his geography was dumb, but it’s not that unusual for a person to ask for a part of the brunch menu as a special request. Even with the fish grill it should have been possible (you know in a skillet maybe) to honor the request unless there was some explicit policy against it.

But men do this all the time and people do not even notice. Its also been around forever. Why the heck is it a thing now. You hear older people do it too.
