Okay... so clearly an entire subset of Americans (regional maybe) are completely unfazed by the use of dip in the context of shake. In my experience Dipping is to take something and stick in something else and then immediately remove it.... does it mean something else in some other place?

I do this too. It is a life saver. I had to set a specific one aside because once you call it a "garbage bowl" you just cant use it for mixing no matter how many times you wash it. But just buy a regular plastic bowl for this, no need to buy Rachel Ray version.

Nooooooooo!!!! One thing does not follow the other. I do all the grocery shopping, and all the cooking, and I clean while cooking to minimize fuss. It is only fair that someone else washes the dishes when we are done eating.
