Eventually, they will have guidance systems. That is part of the long term plan of the program.

Evolution is awesome. If there's a way, nature will find it...

This was the only meaningful thing that anyone has had to say on this topic. I'm gratified to see that it was the first comment posted. I'm a little surprised to see that the commenter isn't a starred commenter.

Yeah, I definitely had people like Woz in mind for my mental-definition of the word. Though, in his early days I suppose he did sing to both sides of the black hat/white hat mark...

I know it's just semantics, and I'm certainly not trying to make a big deal of it, but I just hate how the crackers and the black-hats have stolen the word "hacking" from developers.

"Real life sucks losers dry. If you want to fuck with the eagles, you have to learn to fly."

Then I don't understand why you think that an iPhone screen would make my eyes pop and bleed down my chest. It makes no sense to me. (Yes, of course I know that you were exaggerating, I'm not commenting on the exaggeration.) If you've read on an iPhone at night with the kindle app with white text on a black background

It would take more matter than exists in the universe to make one. If you did make an Alcubierre warp bubble that travelled faster than light, it would develop a black hole

It would take more energy than exists in the universe to create an Alcubierre drive.

That's great and all, but the original story made the news on every major network. Somehow I get the feeling that the correction will not get as much attention and that 10 years from now I'll still have someone telling me that FTL is NOT impossible because of this thing he heard about back in 2011...

It was repeated twice by the same people who did it the first time.

The article doesn't go into much detail, but this idea has been around for a long time. These would be designed to carry passengers AND cargo. Each "car" would be very large and include living space for people and a large cargo capacity.
