So you're associating indie games with bad games? Do you realise how stupid that makes you sound?

I think the problem lies with porting and multiplatforms. Nobody is mentioning this anywhere. People always complained about bad ports on PC or PS3 or 360. People complained about games not appearing on their platform of choice.

Nothing is wrong with motion controlled gaming. That is part of the freedom of creativity. Kinect/Move/Eyetoy/Razer/Valve offered technology for hundreds of ideas. Some people do it right and others do it in a way some people do not like.

Well, MS/Sony do keep their servers up for years. The original Xbox servers and a lot of Sony's game servers have survived even when new tech and games show up.

When friends ship around a disc to each other, the disc is better shape than going down to a used game shop and getting a used game. Plus, its much easier and safer for consumers because you don't have to deal with random 3rd party dealers.

As a consumer, this is awesome! Look at the itunes store or android market. It takes forever to browse for something good. There is so much crap on the marketplace.

Sony never said anything about used games. They did mention offline play.

Console gamers like Gauntlet style games. Diablo is one of the few series today that can offer the action rpg dungeon crawler for couch co-op. There are very few games that can live up to the Gauntlet series.
