Remember, it’s Chelsea Manning and Edward Snowden that exposed the government’s amorality. It’s Assange who coordinated with Putin’s team of hackers to disrupt the 2016 election by selectively releasing DNC material, while withholding similar GOP material, and rejecting leaks that would expose the Russian government.
I was wondering if someone would mention this. I heard the quote before and looked it up to make sure that I had it correct. John Banner once said, “Who can play Nazis better than us Jews?”
I’m honestly more excited for this than any actual Star Wars. Here’s my list of low hanging fruit:
Yeah I could tell she and Dodd were smokers from their interviews. (the latter has said he quit a while back.)
Potter’s voice def has changed to the point where he would sound very off if he reprised it. His older voice fit Cable better and applaud the call. Same goes for the original Jean voice.
A lot of excellent ideas and excellent creative teams. We’ll see if they all work when they come out, but I’m pretty happy about them.
Got to say glad they went for it.
The ending set up:
I didn’t know what to expect with this revival but it certainly blew whatever I had out of the water. This series was excellent and I can’t wait for season 2. My only nitpick is I wish they’d slow down with some of the arcs.
I think the whole “is it possible to get along?” question is not getting any easier to answer. Increasingly awful people are getting increasingly good at getting “their guys” in positions of authority.
If the XMen mythology is, at least in part, an exploration of whether a minority can co-exist with an ignorant,…
Oh yeah, I could see that.
And I’m pretty sure I saw Dust???
I mean, X-Men has been going on for a pretty long while, and if certain writers have occasionally “answered” the question of whether Magneto or Xavier is right, it would seem that they’re still somehow asking it today. It’s almost as though it’s a question with no finite and concrete answer, not to mention it’s the…
Well this sure had a ton of cameos. I caught Captain America, Iron Man, Black Panther, Doctor Strange, Daredevil, Silver Samurai, Cloak & Dagger, Pete & MJ, the Red Guard (Darkstar, Crimson Dynamo and Omega Red), the children of Magneto mentioned above, Northstar, Aurora, Psylocke, Puck and Cipher. There were also…
Meanwhile, the rest of the team, Erik and Charles included, have been thrust into the ancient past
I thought for sure we’d get an Onslaught tease after the mind-meld, and am wondering now between the Apocalypse Wars/ Days of Future Past stuff they’ve teed up if they’ll skip it altogether... then again, they merged a helluva lotta arcs into this first season, and I did notice that shot of the car radio tuned to…
I thought it was a great episode. Rogue’s beatdown of Bastion felt cathartic. Beast’s line, “Ah, the Greeks did love horses… and irony.” Got a good laugh out of me. The showrunners really managed to keep the stakes constantly raising.
Hope to god it doesn’t take forever for Logan to regain the adamantium.
To be fair that sounds like the Supergirl from the Tom King when work they’re adapting, she’s still a compassionate character but there’s a side to her she suppresses on Earth
“Guess you’ve finally made a monkey…”
