Wranglers have a particular image that not everybody necessarily wants to be associated with. The whole angry-eyebrows-and-lightbars thing sorta turns me off, anyway. I’m also wary of their reputation for poor reliability. To me, Wranglers have become too Chrysler and too bloated. If I were looking for a top-down

People buy Raptors, they’ll buy this.

That could be the case. But I just don’t see people trading in their Wranglers. But with this thing being anticipated for years I’m most likely wrong.

Or are they devoted because there has been nothing to compete with the Wrangler? I think a lot of people will want something to differentiate themselves from all the billions of wranglers floating around these days.

And this year’s Tyler Hoover Award for buying way too many hopeless shitbuckets for no discernable reason goes to: David Tracy! My condolences... err, congrats.

This is a fantastic idea. It might do a good job of promoting acceptance and enthusiasm for electric vehicles within a market demographic. A significant subset of Harley owners has significant disposable income. You need that kind of cash to own another vehicle (expensive full-size pickup, often) plus your pricey

I still don’t understand the X6 and the other ‘coupe SUVs.’ You pay more money for a car that looks worse and is less useful. Like I get trading practicality for beauty, but the fastback rooflines kill the visual balance so they all look significantly worse, making me wonder who is buying them and why they can afford

Maybe Harley should try making an SUV?

I shit you not, I saw one of those today. I hadn’t seen one in years and I saw one right there in my hometown in northern Portugal. What are the odds?

Cars like this aren’t going to solve transportation problems for the poor. Decent mass transit might. Something that exists in only a few cities in the US. If that.

Now make it fold.

My thought was this would be a self limiting problem in a car in Dallas in the summer. Just park it in the sun for a hour and you will top 150 degrees.

When burned to the ground - which emits less greenhouse gases?

“I wrote it myself. It’s the most beautiful document ever. And I got it to 3 pages. Who needs 1100 pages to explain something so simple? But you know what, it was really hard. No one knew how hard it was. Thousands of scientists and they got it wrong. But I got it right, and it’s beautiful. Cars will be safer

I assume the "why" is something along the lines of "fuck Obama" and nothing more.

Insane. Probably helps a bit that Chicago is nice and flat, but still an incredible number of miles on a clutch.

It is the 2027 Frontier, maybe 2037, hard to tell.

My concern is that when you are cornering, you are on the corner of the car tire. Not only do you have less contact area, but also you don’t have a lot of grooves and sipes to get water out from under the tire in that area of the tire.

What regulations were preventing offshoring of labor that got rolled back?
