The most fuel/energy efficient way to cook (and cook evenly) is to hot (hay box, heat box) box it. Line a laundry basket with towels or blankets. Bring the pot to a strong boil, place it in the laundry basket and cover it with blankets. Food will continue to cook for hours with no further energy required.

A tractor. Yes that’s right. Gobs of torque, slow, really hard to stall. Super stout clutch and driveline. Really hard to die in traffic when you are out in a field fiddling and getting a feel for clutch and poking through gears. All the motions then translate to a car...on the road.
