I kind of like this. I’ve usually only been confused or disappointed when I go to a channel and it plays someone else. If I’ve clicked someone’s offline channel I probably would rather watch one of their old streams.

It could be great if Steam allowed devs to give out timed keys. Like a game key that would only give someone access to the game until a certain date. So maybe a week or even month after the code was generated it then revokes access to the game.

Issues like this are why I often mentally check out when I hear a game is multiplayer only. At this point it feels like that means it’ll be fun while everyone is figuring it all out, but once “pros” want to take it seriously all the fun starts to get sucked out of the game.
